Life Lesson 139: Education is the Key

Good Afternoon Readers,

Today has been an amazing day. The sun is shining and the birds are flying everywhere. I am glad that it is warm outside so that I can go to the beach and relax. Also, I found out that I have a job interview on Friday for a position that I applied for 24 hours ago. In any event, today has been a productive day. Today, I would like to discuss education and the ways that it can enhance your life over time.

Let's begin:

1. Education can enhance your life because it will help you to understand the skills that you possess. You will be able to see that you can apply your skills to various careers. If you have computer skills, you will be able to do lots of data entry and entry-level positions. If you have analytical skills, you will be able to do jobs that require math and problem solving. Overall, review your skills so that you can apply them to an upcoming job opportunity.

2. Education can help you to broaden your horizons. With education, you will be able to look at jobs that you were not able to apply for years ago. With a Bachelor's or a Master's Degree, you are going to be able to look at positions that will require you to have certain skills so that you can get a certain salary. Having a degree can help you to get a better job and it will broaden your horizons for future jobs.

3. Education can help you to enhance your interests. There are various interests that a person can have such as: music, art, writing, psychology, etc. No matter what your interests are, you will be able to explore them during the time that you are pursuing your education. Take some time to take classes in each area so that you can see what you enjoy. Once you find out what you enjoy, you will be able to do more classes in that particular area or a combination of two areas.

4. Education will help you to make wiser decisions.

Life Lesson 138: Discover your best asset

Good Morning Readers,

I had an eventful weekend. I was able to spend time reflecting on my next few postings. Also, I had a chance to spend time with my family. We were able to spend time in conversation. Mostly, we talked about life and how it may change within the next year. In a year, I might have a different job or I may be living in a different location. Life is so unpredictable. But no matter what happens, I trust God to lead me in the direction that he wants me to be in. But today, we are going to discuss the ways that we can discover our best asset.

Let's begin.....

Some people look at their best asset as something that can make them money. Many people are willing to sell their bodies to the highest bidder. They have placed a price tag on their bodies and they do not see their bodies as being valuable. The sad part is that after their bodies are broken down, they will have to find other ways to make money. All in all, never use your body as a pawn for services to other people. Learn to value your body as a temple of God. If God is supposed to live there, then it should be kept in a way that would honor God at all times.

Some people see their job as their best asset. These people come to work early and they leave late almost everyday. They aim to do their very best so that they can complete their projects. They are team players and they seek to help other people so that they can reach their goals. Overall, these are the people that we would all like to work with. However, do not place your greatest investment around a job. At any point in time, your job could downsize or do lay offs, and you may have to find a new job. Do as much as you can to enjoy your job but always been on the lookout for a new job in the event that your current job goes South.

Some people see their best asset as the car that they drive. These people are always trying to find ways to improve their vehicle so that they can get more compliments from other people. They want to be seen and noticed at all times. I would call these people attention-seekers. No matter what happens, your car is not your best asset. If your car breaks down, you will have to get another one. So do not place all of your time and value in a car. Place your value in something that will help you to be of assistance to other people who are in need.

Some people think that their best asset is the personal relationship with God. These people spend time with God in the morning, afternoon, or evening. They take the time to seek guidance from God on how to navigate their day. These people seek to have a closer relationship with God because they want to know more about God and themselves. Also, these individuals share their faith with other people. They seek to see other people establish a relationship with God. If you are looking to find a place to invest, then you need to invest in a personal relationship with God. One day, life will change and if you do not have a strong foundation in God, you will fall for anything. As much as possible, spend some time reading the Bible and in prayer so that you can draw closer to God no matter what is going on around you.

Overall, the best asset that you have (or can have) is a personal relationship with God.
