Life Lesson 114: Your dreams may not be accepted by others

Dear Readers,

Today has been an eventful day. In any event, I woke up thinking about my dreams. I thought about the amount of people who have supported my dreams and even those who told me that I could not accomplish my dreams. As I looked at my dreams from many angles, I realized that I am the only one who can determine whether my dreams will come true or not. In this blog post, I will talk about your dreams and the reasons why they are not accepted by others people.

Why is it that your dreams are so hard for other people to understand?

Some people cannot understand your dreams because they are not willing to reach outside of their comfort zone. These people live in a box and they do not want to come out of it. They love their life the way that it is and they do not see a reason why they should change it. These people exist where they are comfortable and your dreams are not within their comfort zone.

Too often, people are so focused on their lives that they cannot see the success in your life. Some people have never seen success in their lives and they find it hard to believe that you have time to dream about how bright your life could be. In most cases, our dreams are what keep us going each day. The fact that we are making constructive steps towards achieving our dreams is what makes us smile. Our dreams give us hope that we can achieve anything that we want. But in order to achieve our dreams, we must surround ourselves with people who support our dreams.

The people who support you are people who believe that you will succeed in your dreams. They may not understand them but they will stand beside you so that you can make tracks towards a brighter future. Supportive people are hard to find because some people support you in front of your face but they talk about you behind your back. In life, you need "true" supporters. These are people who are around when you have $1 to your name. These people will be there for you through thick and thin. If you want to achieve your dreams, you need to be very clear on who supports you and who is against you.

Overall, be selective on who you share your dreams with. No one will understand your dreams like you. After all, it is your dream. If you want to achieve a dream, you need to keep your ideas under wraps until you have a clear plan on how you want to accomplish your dreams. Once you have a plan in motion, only tell one or two supportive people about it. As you go from one level to the next, please know that you may not be accepted by other people. If people do not accept you because of the dreams that you have set, it may be time for you to distance yourself from those people. You can be kind and cordial to them but you cannot entrust them with the details of your dreams. They will not understand your vision and you cannot make them understand it. It is your dream and no one should understand it more than you. In life, you must know that your dreams are important no matter if they are accepted or not. If you work hard to accomplish your dreams, you will be able to see the fruits of your labor over time.

Remember that you can accomplish anything if you set your mind to it! Dream Big!
