Life Lesson 137: Learn to be content with what you have

Good Morning Readers,

I hope that you all are having a wonderful morning. My morning started off with prayer. I had a chance to express to God the things that I was concerned about. I am so glad that I know God and the fact that he hears all of our prayers and concerns. After I prayed, I felt safe in knowing that God would hold my concerns in the palm of his hand and that he would answer them in his own time. Too often, we worry about things that we cannot change. We have not learned to be content with what we have. Today, I would like to discuss the reasons why we are not content and how we can change these habits.

Let's begin:

In life, we are not content because we are so busy focusing on what other people have. We look at their possessions and we wonder why we have not been blessed like they have. We want the diamonds, big houses, amazing jobs, and everything else that comes along with someone else's life. These days, we believe the perception that people give us. You may think that people are living the good life but it is possible that they could be doing some illegal things to maintain the lifestyle that you envy. As much as possible, focus your mind on what you have and how you can improve your life.

We are not content with what we have because we want things but sometimes, we refuse to work hard for them. For Example: A person may want to be a CEO one day. But in order to be a CEO, you need to have some kind of college training. A Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree would help you to get an entry-level job in the organization. As time goes on, you will have a chance to learn more about your job and other jobs. Over time, you will have a chance to attain various positions and you might be a CEO one day. But in all things, there is patience and determination. If you seek a position and you are not willing to work hard for it, you will not be able to attain your dream job in life until you change your work mindset.

We are not content because we have learned to be content. We have not learned to look at life through a glass that is half full and not half empty. We look at our lives as if we are going around in circles but we fail to realize that God is taking us through various experiences so that he can perfect our character. We look at our friends and we wonder why our lives are the way that they are. But we need to look at ourselves as works in progress. We are better people and we have learned to make sound decisions as a result of our past experiences. Today, make it your mission to be content with what you have. God blessed you with what you have because he intended for you to live the best life that you could live.

Aim to be more content and focus on your life and how it can be improved over time.
