Life Lesson 105: Quitting is not an Option

Good Afternoon Readers,

Today has been a pretty relaxed day so far. I am away at a conference (in Seattle, Washington) and I thought I would post another blog while I am in low-stress mode. I was just thinking about the word quit and how many people give up because they refuse to work hard to accomplish their dreams.

Here are 10 ways to erase the word "quit" out of your mind:
1. Quitting is not an option when you are trying to be successful. Each day, you should work to your heart's content so that you can accomplish the dream that you want to pursue.
2. Quitting is for quitters. These are people who try something and they quit before the dream is off of the ground. These people are habitual "negative thinkers". Every time they start something, they abandon the idea of completing it and then they get upset when someone else comes along and completes their project.
3. Quitting is for people who lack the self-confidence to continue a specific task. For Example: If you are told to do an assignment, and you only complete half of it, you should not expect to get full credit. You will only receive half credit. Well, when you put half of your heart into a project, you will only be able to complete half of it. In this life, a project needs 100% of your attention. If you can't invest 100%, do not believe that your project will be successful.
4. Quitting happens when you see many people who have quit their projects. Just because one person quits, it does not mean that you have to quit. Learn to be a leader and not a follower as you press forward in this life.
5. Quitting occurs when people make excuses as to why they can't complete certain tasks. For Example: "I couldn't do it, She said that I am dumb, My mom said that my brain doesn't work right, My dad said that I would never amount to anything, etc." All of these excuses will not amount to a hill of beans because you are not getting any closer to reaching your goals. Get out from underneath these excuses and tell yourself that you can do anything that you set your mind to.
6. To quit is just like saying that you are not capable of the job. To say that you are not capable is just like saying that you are not smart enough. In any event, you are capable but you have to keep telling yourself that you can complete the job no matter how hard it gets.
7. A quitter will never reach the mountaintop because he is so busy wallowing on the ground. If you spend a lot of time with bottom dwellers, you will never reach your maximum in this life. Learn to be around people who are heading to the top so that you can learn how to head to the top as well. People on the ground will help you to stay on the ground where they are. Aim higher and one day, you might reach the mountaintop.
8. A quitter is someone who needs lots of encouragement. This person could be someone who has been put down all throughout their lives. So this person will need lots of encouragement so that they will know that they can reach their fullest potential. Encouragement can go a long way especially when you are trying to complete your mission in life.
9. A quitter could be someone like you and me. We all look at life in various ways, but we must remember that we all have high times and low times. But what you choose to do in those low times is entirely up to you. You can complain about your situation or you can plan on how you will escape your current situation and head towards the finish line.
10. Lastly, quitting doesn't make you a bad person....it makes you a human. We have all quit some tasks over the life span but we got back up and tried again. In life, you will want to quit but you must tell yourself that "you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you" (Phillipians 4:13). Today, grab your dreams and set up a plan on how you plan to accomplish them. No one can determine your destiny except you.

You cannot quit......you must go forward to accomplish your dreams!
                                                               Success is in your hands!
