Dear Readers,
I hope that you are having an exciting day. Today has been an interesting day because it finally snowed in Kentucky. I did not think that the snow would come since I had not seen any snow in the months of November, December, or January. In any event, I am glad to know that the weather can change at any point in time. Just like the weather changes, so does our patience level in life. We have to pick our battles so that we do not over extend our patience with others. Today, we will talk about the ways that we can learn to be more patient.
Let's go.....
We can learn to be more patient by accepting life for what it is. Too often, we look at life and we wish that we could change various aspects of it. We do not accept our current life situation so we complain about the things that we have done wrong over time. But the sad part is that we are not accepting our life and where we are right now. If you learn to look at your life as a progressive experience, you will be able to see that you are taking steps that will make your life much better as time goes on.
We can learn to be more patient when we understand that we are human beings. As humans, we are naturally in a mode to rush and do a lot of things. If we rush, we think that we will get things done faster so that we do not have to worry about it later. But if we had more patience, we would be able to complete more things in a timely manner. With patience, we can pay attention to the intricate details of a project so that we can make sure that it is completed according to the written specifications.
We can learn patience by working with people who do not have what we have. For Example: If you take some time to work in a soup kitchen, you will see that the people that are there are in need of a meal. If they do not get a meal there, they may not eat anywhere for the rest of the day. As you look at your life and the food that you have in your home, you should be very thankful. And you should be more patient as you work with the less fortunate. If you were in their position, you would want someone to be patient with you as well.
Today, you must remember that patience is a virtue!
